I Got Lip Filler!

Hello friends! How is everyone doing?! Since OC fashion week things have been crazy! So many events, travel and work. Man have I been drained. That’s why it was so nice to visit HK dermatology in San Juan Capistrano and have a little me time. I went with some of my fellow blogger babes to try out some new trends in skin care and we were not disappointed. The staff really took the time to sit with us and explain the procedures they perform at the office. Some of these include Botox, fillers, body contouring, lipo, facials and much more. They also went through the importance of skin care and how to help slow the aging process. For instance did you know that going to bed with Makeup on ages you quicker?! After hearing that, I was so happy I’ve been washing my face before bed since I can remember. I also learned that cheaper Botox may not always be a good deal. The Botox itself could have gone through many countries and temperature changes before reaching your face causing a change in its chemical make up. Be very sure to do your research people!!!!! We were then given a tour of the office to prepare for our pampering. Some opted for the laser body sculpting which was an excellent choice! This machine uses heat to damage and kill fat cells so that the body may clear the fat naturally! Who wouldn’t want to loose fat without an invasive surgery!? I chose to try Volbella (a less invasive filler) to plump up my pout. I have always had a very small upper lip and it really bothers me. I know it shouldn’t but lips are all the rage and I own so many lip sticks and glosses!!! I feel left out! Lower lip is totally fine but upper is just non existent. I heard that fillers can be an uncomfortable procedure so I made sure to have a numbing ointment on. This process took about 10 to 20 min. You guys I didn’t feel a thing!!!!!! I could see my lip plump right up and I was in love! I was even more in love the day after when they were swollen. I know that sounds odd but I have never had lips! I was so excited. But as the swelling went down I did have a large amount of bruising (normal) and hardening around injection sites (also normal). It’s been a little less than a week and my lips are still pretty small but I do notice a small change. But something you have to understand is that you can’t go from zero to sixty with lips if you have nothing to work with in the beginning. It’s important to take your time and work your body to your desired goal so as to look natural and avoid fake deflated lips. I will say I’m definitely addicted now! I can’t wait to go back this Friday for my laser facial where I will get rid of sunspots and tighten my face! If you’re in the OC area, I definitely recommend looking up the doctors at HK dermatology. They are reasonable, knowledgeable, caring and want you to look and feel your best. They found a new client in me for sure!!! If you have any other questions about my experience please feel free to leave a comment for me or click the link that directs you to their site so you can view more! Now please enjoy these less than flattering photos of me getting my procedure!
