Conversations with Jan Marini

Hello All! I hope you are having a wonderful September so far! I can’t tell you how excited I am that it is almost fall. It’s literally my favorite time of year. There is so much magic in the air for me. With that being said, the weather starts changing and so does my skin. Now I’m not really complaining because my genetics have blessed me with great skin. I have avoided acne and wrinkles which is not too bad for being 33. But what I do struggle with is discoloration, slight redness, oily skin and large pores. I have tried a lot of products to help me with all of this and have spared no cost in doing so. My problem is, I don’y know as much as I think I do when it comes to skincare. How many of you can look at a product label and tell me that you know what everything is and what it does for your skin? And that being said, less isn’t always more. I know a lot of people out there are going for organic all natural ingredients but what is it doing for your skin? These plus more, are questions I have because I want my skin to be at it’s very best. This is where Jan Marini comes in.  Who is Jan you ask? Take a look for yourself and tell me you aren’t impressed:

“Jan Marini, founder and CEO of Jan Marini Skin Research, Inc., is one of the most respected names in professional skin care. Jan pioneered the professionally dispensed skin care market nearly 25 years ago when she brought to market the M.D. Formulations/M.D. Forte product line. She has formed associations with some of the world’s leading physicians and research scientists to develop cutting edge solutions to today’s most common skin concerns. Jan has introduced a host of technological firsts and has been awarded numerous patents.

Jan has been frequently featured on television and in print media. Her extensive knowledge and status has made her a sought after speaker at events and conferences including presenting at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, The UCSF Plastic Surgery Alumni Conference and The Dermatology Nurses Association.” ~ https://www.janmarini.com/about-us/

That’s right ya’ll, shes a boss! After watching her on Youtube, I ventured out to contact her myself in hopes she could give me a little more insight on what my skin is doing as it ages. Boy am I glad I did! I was lucky enough to get my very own consultation with her. First of all the woman is almost 70 and looks to be in her 40’s!! I was stunned when she told me! I knew just from seeing her that she had insightful and knowledgeable info for me. But what I really liked about her was the amount of time she spent on me. We spent a full hour talking about skin! What I liked and what I wanted to fix. She even asked about my diet, because apparently some allergies to food or drinks can cause redness flare ups! Who knew?! She dug really deep to find the source of my minimal skin care problems and when she was done she prescribed the best method of treatment for me. It wasn’t a sales pitch either. She has many top rated products that she could have sold me on but she stuck to the basics. She asked about what I was currently using but didn’t bash them. She also told me how some companies cleverly use the same products for different brands at different price points. Sneaky sneaky!!!! Jan spent the time going through each product she wanted me to use. She explained to me what was in it and how those ingredients would help. She even went through the directions of how to use them even though they are right there on the bottle. She wanted me to be just as knowledgeable as she was.

I will say the amount of products I got was way more than I was used to putting on my face and I was a little overwhelmed at first. But I trust Jan so I began using them in order just like she instructed me. The first day was a little rough as my skin adjusted. Some of the products stung a little but I knew they were just doing their job and my face would adjust. After day two, my oiliness had decreased significantly and the sting of putting on certain products had disappeared. I forgot to mention that I also have sensitive skin. I will break out in a rash at the drop of a hat, but surprisingly my skin was very open to these products and I had no adverse reactions like I usually do when trying out new products. The smell of all the products where pleasant and the directions are very clear. Jan even sent me with 3 extra products to use down the road when my face had adjusted to me new routine. Again she explained what each was for, what was in it, how it worked, and how and when to use it. The woman is a fountain of knowledge! I can confidently say that my skin is beginning to change for the better and it is because of the knowledge and ingredients that Jan has provided. Below I will share with you each product I am using and how it’s helped me. Keep in mind these products are a splurge but please know that your face is worth it. When it comes to clothes, i definitely stay on the frugal side of the table, but when it comes to my skin I don’t mess around. My skin will be on me for life and I want it looking it’s best. But if you’re gonna spend the money, please know what you’re spending it on. I highly suggest going to Jan’s Youtube channel to gain some valuable knowledge on skin care.
